What are discipleship groups?
Jesus' final instruction to His first followers was to go and make disciples of all nations (see Matthew 28:18-20).
Evidently, that is the Lord's will for all people: that they should be His disciples. And that means it is His will for you and for me.
The Discipleship Groups are designed to help make us into faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus.

How do they Work?
Disciples are like ears of corn -- they don't grow alone.
It is essential for corn to grow in the midst of other ears and stalks of corn so that they can cross-fertilize. And we human beings function the same way. If we want to grow as disciples, we need to be surrounded by other disciples.
Jesus called twelve disciples, and they didn't follow Him alone: they followed Him together.
The Discipleship Groups are designed to help us follow Jesus together. The groups meet together each week. They cultivate their relationship with the Lord, they care for each other's souls, they discuss teachings from the Bible, and they apply those teachings to their lives. It's a simple recipe, but always a good one!

Want to start now?
If you would like to be part of a Discipleship Group, pray that the Lord will help you in the next steps.
Then begin to think about who might also want to grow in their discipleship. Talk to those folks; share your heart; share your vision; and encourage them to think of others who might be interested.
When you have between 8 and 12 people who are committed to being part of a group together, pick a date and time when you will meet each week, and then click on the link below to being your journey.
